How to Use Metric Units

Use Metric to set metric units as the default for new measurements. Convert a measurement instead when only that measurement needs different units. This setting does not change existing measurements.

Change the measurement system

Section titled “Change the measurement system”
  1. Open Takeoff Settings.
  2. Find Use Metric System.
  3. Turn Metric on to use metric units for new measurements.
  4. Turn Metric off to use imperial units for new measurements.
  5. Create a measurement to confirm its default unit.

New measurements now use your selected measurement system. Existing measurements keep their current units. Next, convert a measurement when one quantity needs another unit.
