How to Run the Legend Counting Model

Use Legend Counting when the plan has a symbol legend. Use Callouts or Text Search for text labels. Create the legend first.

Complete the task

Section titled “Complete the task”
  1. Open AI Workbench.
  2. Select Legend Counting.
  3. Choose the legend.
  4. Select the pages.
  5. Run the model.
  6. Review the counts.

Start another count from Legend Manager

Section titled “Start another count from Legend Manager”
  1. Open Legend Manager.
  2. Select the legend rows you want to count.
  3. Select Run Legend Count.
  4. If Review not Completed! appears, select Yes, discard to open the new count.
  5. Select the region to count.

Yes, discard removes the current detected measurements. The new count uses the legend and rows you selected in Legend Manager. If you want to keep the current run or review, select Cancel in the warning. Save the current results to takeoff before you start another count.

Save legend counts to a folder

Section titled “Save legend counts to a folder”

After you review all counts, Review Done! shows a folder button beside Move All To Takeoff. Some review panels show the folder button beside Save To Takeoff at the bottom.

  1. Select the Set destination folder button.
  2. Select an existing folder to save the reviewed counts to that folder immediately.

To create a folder instead:

  1. Select the Set destination folder button.
  2. Enter a new folder name in Set Destination.
  3. If no folders match, select Create folder with your folder name to save the counts there.

To use the current destination, select Move All To Takeoff or Save To Takeoff instead of the folder button.

You now have the reviewed counts in your takeoff folder. Next, return to the section overview.
