How to Edit an Aerial
Edit an aerial when its parcel boundary includes the wrong area or exceeds the imagery limit. Use the review workflow when the boundary is already correct. Find the property before you edit its boundary.
Correct parcel boundaries
Section titled “Correct parcel boundaries”- Select Draw parcel boundary to add a boundary.
- Select each corner of the property.
- Press Enter to close the boundary.
- Select Erase parcel boundary to remove one boundary or exclusion zone.
- Select inside the boundary that you want to remove.
If the control is available, use Simplify parcel boundary to remove unnecessary vertices. Use Delete all parcel boundaries only when you want to start again.
Split a large parcel
Section titled “Split a large parcel”- Select Advanced Edit.
- Select the large parcel in Parcel Boundary Manager.
- Select Split boundary.
- Select Auto-Split if Bobyard offers an automatic split.
- Select Manual Split if you need to place the split line.
- Press Enter to complete a manual split.
Bobyard marks a parcel in red when the imagery provider requires a split.
Add an exclusion zone
Section titled “Add an exclusion zone”- Select a parcel in Parcel Boundary Manager.
- Select Zone Editor.
- Select each corner of the area to exclude.
- Press Enter to complete the zone.
- Use Flip Exclusion only when you want to include the zones and exclude the remaining parcel.
You now have parcel boundaries that define the aerial pages. Next, review the aerial.
