How to Set Up an Aerial Project

Create an aerial page when you need a takeoff from property imagery. Upload a drawing instead when you already have a plan file. Create the project before you start.

Find the property

Section titled “Find the property”
  1. Open the project Files page.
  2. Select Create Aerial.
  3. Enter the property address in Search.
  4. Select the correct address from the suggestions.
  5. Confirm that the map moves to the correct property.

If Bobyard finds the parcel, it adds the parcel boundary. If Bobyard cannot find it, select Draw Parcel Boundary.

Create the aerial page

Section titled “Create the aerial page”
  1. Select an imagery provider.
  2. Select an imagery date when you use Vexcel or Nearmap.
  3. Review the parcel boundary and imagery.
  4. Select Create Aerial Image.
  5. Wait for Bobyard to create the page.
  6. Select Go to Takeoff when the button appears.

You now have an aerial page in the project. Next, review the aerial.
