How to Create Edging

Use Line to measure edging on an aerial page. Use Area for surfaces such as turf or planting beds. Create the aerial page and confirm its scale before you start.

Draw the edging

Open the aerial page in Takeoff.
Create or select the line measurement for the edging.
Select Line.
Select the start of the edging.
Select each corner along the edging.
Finish the line at the end of the edging.
Review the measured length.

Draw separate lines when different edging materials need separate totals.

You now have the edging length on the aerial takeoff. Next, continue the takeoff with other line or area measurements.
